About Jack

Jack Willison is an RTS nominated writer/director from Scotland, who grew up in Fort William, Scotland. He specialises in short form comedy, honing his skills and gaining notoriety at the 48 Hour Film Project. His last entry 'Here Comes the Nun' won the top prize at Filmapalooza in Seattle 2025 becoming the global 48 Hour Film Project grand champions and was also recognized with the Best Actor award for Catriona Faint's performance. This mad Scottish comedy beat 5000+ other entries from around the globe to the top spot and went on to screen at Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner and Edinburgh Short Film Festival. Recently, he had another 48 Hour success with ‘Piece in Dal Riata’ which picked up a record 11 awards at the Inverness 48 Hour Film Project including Best Film, Best Writer and Best Director.

Along side his short film success, he has a decade worth of experience shooting live events, ranging from music festivals such as TRNSMT to theatre production trailers like Make It Happen starring Brian Cox for the National Theatre of Scotland. Jack has also worked for creative agencies such as The Leith Agency, Bright Signals & John Doe, working for big name brands on everything from social content to commercials.

Jack also isn’t sure why he’s written this in third person and finds it intensely strange but apparently this is what you do, he’s been told.
